Thanksgiving Weekend

I hope you all are enjoying your Thanksgiving weekends. Thanksgiving marked the end of the first trimester so were especially thankful! We spent it at my uncle Tubby's house and had a good time, even though my dad was under the weather. It seems to all be getting back under control and he has some follow-up next week with his doctor in Bemidji.

I've posted some pictures of our kitchen renovation - the "before" pictures are on our other camera so I'll have to add those later. We took out our apartment wall oven and stovetop and just put in a slide-in appliance to give us more countertop space. The kitchen, countertops and tile backsplash are also all new. As you can tell from the guest bathroom shot, the drywall needed to be redone so we still need to repaint that section before putting on the mirror. We totally gutted the bathroom and started from scratch. Now there's a 4 ft. shower in there and additional shelving - much more functional for our guests! The kitchen is almost done - just some finishing carpentry work needs to be completed. Enjoy!

Welcome to the Brash Blog!

We've decided to start up a family blog since lots of events have been going on in the Brash household. One of the main "events" is that there's a baby on the way!!!! Baby Brash is due to make his or her appearance around May 28th and we couldn't be happier.

Right now I'm going into my 14th week and the pregnancy has been going very well -no morning sickness and my energy level is coming back up from where it was a month ago. I had a doctor's appointment this week and Martin and I were able to hear Baby Brash's heartbeat - it was going strong at 160 bpm!

Please visit our site for updates on Baby Brash and life in general. Soon to come: pictures of our kitchen and bathroom re-models. It's a good thing I'm not very domestic since we've been living without a stove for about 2 weeks :)
