I went in for my monthly check-up on Friday (the 13th!) and everything looks great with Baby Brash. He/she is moving around a lot and I'm needing more and more calories to keep me going (or at least I'm telling myself that so I can eat more), so everything is right on track! I saw our neighbor while I was in the waiting room and she is due July 2nd so it's nice to know that there will be another child that's about the same age as Baby Brash just down the block from us.
We had a great Valentine's Day - it was very low-key and Martin and I enjoyed a quiet day together. It started out with a trip to the city dump (romantic, huh?!?) and then we took a drive around the outskirts of Bismarck. After that we saw the movie Gran Torino, stopped at Barnes & Noble, and then grabbed a quick bite to eat. It was a great time. Martin even made composed a poem for me! It started out with "Roses are red, violets are blue. There is a baby growing inside of you...." Yes, he has a way with words.
